Tattoo Flash & Glass

I’ve always been drawn to American traditional tattoos. The thick outlines, the limited color palette, the sometimes symbolic and sometimes chaotic/spontaneous energy behind every flash sheet. Hearts, daggers, snakes, roses, I love how classic it all is.

When I started stained glass, I realized how naturally this style fit the medium. Stained glass already has strong lines (thanks, solder!) and bold shapes. Translating tattoo flash into glass feels like preserving that same iconic energy.

Sometimes I’ll sketch directly from flash sheets I’ve collected on Pintrest, or classic tattoos I’ve wanted but haven’t found the time/money/artist for. Other times I try to remix the symbols with elements from nature or southwestern art. Whether it’s a classic crying eye or a ghost cowboy, I want the finished piece to feel like it could be based on someone’s tattoo.
