Where glass meets grit
About Sour Cherry
I’ve always loved American traditional tattoos, when I started Sour Cherry Glassworks I wanted to bring in this vibe and add a sprinkle of my life growing up in Colorado and the South Western influences.
I make each piece using the traditional copper foil technique (also known as Tiffany stained glass). You can learn more about my technique and other stained glass facts in the FAQ below.
Whether it’s a sun-bleached saguaro, an all-seeing heart, or a spooky cobweb, everything here is made to bring a little joy to your home.
Meet the maker
Hey, I’m Ellie.
I’m a stained glass artist from Colorado. Currently, I live in Prague with my family and work out of my small home studio. My aim is to create pieces that blend American traditional tattoo design and Southwestern/Western motifs. I’ve always been drawn to nature and the old soul of southwest, this must have something to do with growing up in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. I want to make pieces that are fun and a little different than the stained glass you may have grown up seeing.
